Origins of Salt of the Sea Photography
Mike Wojniak is the founder of Salt of the Sea Photography, a creative studio informed by his multidisciplinary background as a photographer, musician, and writer. His visual work explores the intersection of minimalism and atmosphere, specializing in moody landscapes, black-and-white studies, and the technical precision of long-exposure imagery.
Wojniak’s artistic practice is characterized by a deep integration of sight and sound. As a multi-instrumentalist and composer, he frequently collaborates with international musicians to build expansive, global arrangements. These compositions, ranging from classical guitar and piano to bouzouki and strings, often find their visual identity through his own photography, creating a cohesive sensory experience.
Currently, he is finalizing a multidisciplinary project that pairs original verse with environmental storytelling. This poetry and photography book is scheduled for release in late 2026, with preorders beginning in the coming months.
